About AzOz...

AzOz.com is a subsidiary of MacWizards L.L.C., a privately held Arizona corporation.

Site design and all editorial content by George Ziemann unless otherwise indicated.

The site was started in 1997 as an animation scratch pad. I had been assigned the task of web designer for a company. Having my own site allowed me to experiment without having the corporate page involved.

The Name -- My wife is a teacher and, as my animation developed, together we had an idea of using it to create an educational portal of some sort based on the Wizard of Oz theme. I was looking for an available domain with the least number of letters possible.

AzOz worked for me. The animation thing, not so much.

About George Ziemann...

People often mistake George's satirical take on things for a cynical, angry worldview. Many of them are also afraid of clowns.

A vocal critic of the Recording Industry of America (RIAA), Ziemann tries to encourage artists to remain independent and keep ownership of their copyrights. He also thinks the music business is full of thieves and scoundrels that have done their utmost to not fairly pay each and every artist that has ever worked for them.

You shouldn't have to deal with these people to make music. There's got to be a better way. That's what George is looking for. Some days he doubts that it is out there, but if he finds it, he'll share that with you, along with any new tunes that are created along the way.
